Saying Goodbye to Everyday Happiness

Quite the title, huh? It sounds far more dramatic than it is, but I do have an announcement to make, and I won’t beat around the bush. I have decided to close Everyday Happiness. Today, with a heavy yet hopeful heart, I want to share with you why I have come to this decision and what you can expect from me moving forward.

Saying Goodbye - The End of this Chapter

Everyday Happiness has been a beacon of joy and enlightenment, not just for you, our cherished readers, but also profoundly for me. The decision to close comes from a deep, introspective place—much like the considerations that led me to end the podcast last year. My family's needs and my personal goals have evolved, urging me to reassess how I allocate my time and energy.

Just as I preach about the importance of saying "yes" to life's true priorities, I find myself needing to embrace that advice more fully - saying “no” to that which no longer feeds what I need most right now.

This isn't just about reducing my workload; it's about enriching the quality of time spent with my children and ensuring I'm fully present for the moments that will soon pass us by. They grow older every day, and soon, I know that they will be leaving the nest - far too soon, but it is as it has to be. Closing Everyday Happiness is my commitment to live by the principles we've explored together, focusing on what is most pressing and cherished in my life right now.

Quote by Michael Altshuler

The Lessons I am Taking with Me

Our journey with Everyday Happiness has been incredibly rewarding. I haven’t just been teaching about the practices of time management, gratitude, and kindness, but I have been incorporating them into my own life. I have embraced the things in my life that light my hair on fire and have likely learned more about myself than I ever thought possible when I started this platform. The growth has been mutual, with every blog post, newsletter, and podcast episode, we've fostered a community of like-minded individuals eager to improve their own lives and the lives of those around them.

Reflecting on what we've accomplished together fills me with immense pride and gratitude. From over 660 podcast episodes to dozens of blogs and hundreds of newsletter connections, the breadth of our engagement has been profound. The resources we've created have been downloaded countless times, each download representing a step someone is taking towards their own happiness.

Perhaps most gratifying of all has been the feedback from you - the community. Hearing how these messages have sparked joy and prompted changes in your lives reaffirms the value of every word written and spoken through this platform. It's a poignant reminder that while this chapter is closing, the impact and connections it's fostered will endure.

What’s Next

As we draw the curtains on Everyday Happiness, our journey together isn't ending abruptly. My amazing team and I have put together a thoughtful wrap-up plan to ensure you have all the tools to continue fostering joy and intentionality in your lives.

In December, we will release our final blog post alongside a comprehensive newsletter that not only bids farewell but also encapsulates the essence of our years together. This blog post and newsletter will include a detailed list of all the resources we’ve shared over the years—guides, articles, podcasts, and tools—that you can continue to use and benefit from. Then, we can come to a natural end with the closing of the year.

Moving forward into 2025 and beyond, I encourage each of you to keep these lessons close to your heart and integrate them into your daily lives. Just as I plan to continue practicing and cherishing these principles on my own, I hope you do, too.

A door left open

A Door Left Open

I am a firm believer that life never goes according to plan. Saying goodbye to this chapter isn't just about ending—it's a testament to making hard choices for the right reasons. So, while Everyday Happiness is closing, the phrase "never say never" resonates deeply with me as I step back to focus on personal priorities. The door is not firmly shut; rather, it remains ajar. Maybe one day, when the chapter is right, we may meet again.

hands in the shape of a heart

What I want to say most, though, is how profoundly grateful I have been for the unwavering support and engagement from our community throughout this journey. Your enthusiasm and participation have truly enriched this experience. I invite you all to join me for our final blog post and newsletter, where we'll share helpful resources to continue your journey toward happiness.

As I keep an open mind to what the future may hold, I cherish the hope that our paths will cross again. Here's to future possibilities and continued growth for us all!
